Description
The BSS AR‑133 is an active DI box designed for demanding live and studio applications. It converts unbalanced, high-impedance instrument or line signals into balanced, low-impedance outputs suitable for mixing consoles, audio interfaces, and PA systems, ensuring noise-free performance over long cable runs.
Equipped with a ¼” instrument input, parallel Thru output, and transformer-balanced XLR output, the AR‑133 allows you to send the signal to both a stage amplifier or monitor and the FOH console simultaneously. Switchable input attenuation pads (0 dB, -20 dB, -40 dB) make it versatile enough to handle everything from passive guitars to line-level keyboards or even amplifier outputs without distortion. The ground lift switch helps eliminate hum and ground loop issues, maintaining a clean and reliable signal.
The AR‑133 offers flexible power options: it can run on 20–48 V phantom power or a standard 9 V battery, automatically switching to battery power if phantom fails, ensuring uninterrupted operation during performances. Built in a rugged aluminum extrusion case with reinforced sides, it is designed to withstand the rigors of touring, rental, and daily professional use.
It provides peace of mind in any situation where reliable, pristine signal integrity is critical.
